For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook. I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\tThe five-time Oscar-nominated actress said, “I stand with Britney.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\tThis is the first audiobook Williams, who has starred in Manchester by the Sea<\/em>, My Week with Marilyn<\/em>, Blue Valentine<\/em> and Fosse\/Verdon<\/em>, has narrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\tThe Woman in Me<\/em>, which was written with “candor and humor” is described as a “brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith and hope.” It also “illuminates the enduring power of music and love \u2014 and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\tIn the book, Spears discusses her 13-year conservatorship and how the case impacted her personally and publicly. In November 2021, a Los Angeles County judge ruled to terminate the conservatorship<\/a> after the singer testified in court months prior that it was abusive and that it was her \u201cwish and my dream for this to end.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\tThe memoir, which was previously reported to be worth as much as $15 million, was acquired by Gallery Books following a bidding war involving several publishers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\tThe Woman in Me<\/em> will hit bookshelves on Oct. 24<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
