David Harbour is teaming with retailer BoxLunch to raise awareness for hunger and food insecurity.
BoxLunch has named the Stranger Things actor its giving ambassador ahead of the holiday season. As part of his duties, Harbour will star in a campaign called The Art of Giving, which will appear in BoxLunch’s approximately 260 locations in the United States. The campaign supports the non-profit organization Feeding America. Harbour will also appear at a gala in November.
Eight years ago, Hot Topic founded BoxLunch, with every $10 spent at BoxLunch providing a meal to a person in need. To date, the retailer says it has donated 175 million meals to Feeding America.

“BoxLunch captured the deep generosity of spirit that beats in the heart of the holiday season with their ‘art of giving’ campaign. I’m proud to be a part of it and support the amazing work done by both BoxLunch and Feeding America,” said Harbour.
Harbour recently appeared in Gran Turismo, and is expected to film Marvel Studio’s The Thunderbolts in which he reprises his Black Widow character Red Guardian.
“We are so thrilled to have David Harbour join us as this year’s BoxLunch Giving Ambassador to help us honor our philanthropic partner, Feeding America.” Said Steve Vranes, CEO of Hot Topic Inc. “By coming together and highlighting BoxLunch’s ongoing support for the vital work done by Feeding America to make a meaningful impact in the movement to end hunger, we can help ensure that individuals and families in communities across the country have access to the food they need to thrive.”
