Comic illustrators Glenn Fabry, David Finch, John Romita Jr. and Philip Tan are among the bold-faced guests that will be hosted at 2024 edition of Lake Como Comic Arts Festival, the unique convention that focuses on comic artists.
Artists Bill Sienkiewicz, Jordi Bernet, Frank Cho, Juanjo Guarnido, Tula Lotay, Bill Morrison, David Petersen and Charles Vess, most of whom have previously attended, are also in the lineup for the three-day event that kicks off May 17 with a reception overlooking the lake and gardens of the historic Villa Erba, the festival’s home, in Cernobbio, Italy.

Entering its third year, the event is less a convention than it is a fair with an intimate approach to artist-guest interactions, all in the picturesque setting made famous by Hollywood jet-setters such as George and Amal Clooney and John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. Those who have attended have described it as a con for art collectors. (Check out video on the festival’s website to get the vibe.)
Additional guests as well as various pricing tickets packages will be announced soon.
The logo for this year’s festival was designed by Sienkiewicz, the artist known for his ground-breaking work on Marvel’s New Mutants and Elektra: Assassin.
“Not only Bill captured the essence and atmosphere we wanted to convey but to have such a distinctive style representing our visual identity is a real honor,” said co-founder Arno Lapeyre.
