With over 30 films, nearly 10 TV series and billions upon billions of box office dollars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a hit-making juggernaut since the release of Iron Man — starring Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow and others — back in May 2008. And now, there’s a new book that chronicles the rise of the movie studio. On sale for $31.50 (regularly $35), MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios — which is available on Oct. 10 — is an unauthorized behind-the-scenes look at one of Hollywood’s most dominant players.

Written by pop culture writers Joanna Robinson, Dave Gonzales and Gavin Edwards, the 528-page book takes a full view of the studio and features more than 100 interviews with actors, producers, directors and writers who have all worked with Marvel Studios. It explores how the brand went from a comic book company to toymaker and then to the peak of American pop culture with hit movies — like Avengers: Endgame, Black Panther, Iron Man 3, Captain America: Civil War and much more — for more than 15 years.
In addition, MCU is available as a Kindle e-book for $17, as well as an unabridged Audible audiobook for free, if you’re an Audible member.
