Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos is teaming with producer wife Nicole Avant to host A Sense of Home’s gala on Oct. 21.
The fundraiser — introduced in 2019 as a way to support the organization’s mission of preventing homelessness by creating first-ever homes for youth aging out of foster care — will honor La La Land producer Gary Gilbert and wife Charlotte Gilbert, and Ruggable founder Jeneva Bell.
The event’s star-studded host committee also includes Jason Bateman and wife Amanda Anka, Rachel Zoe and husband Rodger Berman, Camila Morrone, Tobey Maguire, Kaia Gerber, Sara Gilbert, Drew Scott, Shawn and Serena Levy, Billy Ray and wife Stacy Sherman, Irena Medavoy, Jena King, Michael Rosenfeld, Rosanna Arquette, Julie and Jimmy Darmody, Holly Wiersma, Britt and Harvey Mason Jr., Kat Samick and others.

The program features celebrity DJ Michelle Pesce providing the night’s soundtrack on the decks, a silent art and experience auction, gourmet bites and “cozy” ambiance thanks to a custom designer lounge. More than 350 guests are expected to attend.
The event will also be a full circle moment of sorts for Charlotte and Gary Gilbert. The pair hosted the inaugural event at their home, held in November 2019. That event celebrated A Sense of Home’s fifth anniversary and featured appearances by Gerber and mother Cindy Crawford, Zach Braff, Suki Waterhouse, Leonardo DiCaprio, Morrone and Maguire, among many others. Jamie Foxx served as master of ceremonies that night.
The Gilberts will be honored for their work on behalf of the organization as will Bell, who created the ASOH Scholarship fund which helps ASOH create 150 homes for foster youth each year through donated furniture and goods. Tickets are now on sale.
