Los Angeles Beverly Arts Icon Awards
The third annual LABA Icon Awards took place on Friday in Beverly Hills, where artist and photographer Michael Warren was presented with an award by his son Cash Warren (and support from daughter-in-law Jessica Alba) and visual artist Alexandra Grant was honored by sound mixer Paul N. J. Ottosson.

After a three year hiatus, L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade, hosted by Chef Suzanne Goin and partner Caroline Styne along with Chef David Lentz, returned on Saturday to UCLA’s Royce Quad. Project Angel Food’s annual Angel Awards returned on Saturday to honor Sheryl Lee Ralph with the inaugural Sheryl Lee Ralph Legacy Award — presented by Lily Tomlin — while AIDS activist, artist and author Mary Fisher received the 2023 Angel Award.
Knott’s Scary Farm 50th Anniversary Celebration
Knott’s Scary Farm rolled out the black carpet on Saturday in celebration of its 50th anniversary, with guests including Tiffany Haddish, Haley Lu Richardson, Tallulah Willis, Scout Willis, Kaitlyn Dever, Ross Butler and Olivia Holt.
Global Citizen Festival
The Global Citizen Festival returned to Central Park on Saturday with a lineup that included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Jung Kook, Anitta, Conan Gray, D-Nice, Sofia Carson and Stray Kids, as well as a starry list of speakers including Charlize Theron, Chris Rock, Common, Connie Britton, Danai Gurira, Natasha Lyonne, Busy Philipps, Carmelo Anthony, Padma Lakshmi, Rachel Brosnahan and Sophia Bush.
Ed Sheeran x Lee party
Adam Sandler, Kelly Slater, Allison Holker, Maria Menounos and JoJo Siwa attended a party hosted by Lee at Bootsy Bellows in SoFi Stadium, where attendees enjoyed a private field-level suite at Saturday’s Ed Sheeran concert.
iHeartRadio Music Festival
iHeartMedia hosted the 13th annual iHeartRadio Music Festival at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena over the weekend, featuring two days of performances from Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, Kelly Clarkson, Travis Scott, Kane Brown, Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Lenny Kravitz, Miguel and Public Enemy.
Kinder, Braver Together Pop-Up Launch
Lady Gaga and Cynthia Germanotta attended a kickoff event for the Kinder, Braver Together pop-up in support of the Born This Way Foundation. The shop, which is located in the atrium at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, is co-hosted by Gaga’s Born This Way and the Cotton On Foundation with a goal to raise $5 million to support youth mental health globally. Every purchase from the Kinder, Braver Together collection in the pop-up, in stores or online directly contributes to Born This Way Foundation’s youth mental health initiatives worldwide.

Environmental Working Group’s CleanCon 2023 took place on Saturday at City Market Social House in downtown Los Angeles, with panelists including Moby, fitness pioneer Tracy Anderson, TV host and actress Arielle Vandenberg, drag-superstar Shea Couleé and chef and TV host Sophia Roe.
Carolyn Pfeiffer’s Chasing the Panther: Adventures and Misadventures of a Cinematic Life events
Producer and author Carolyn Pfeiffer celebrated her memoir Chasing the Panther: Adventures and Misadventures of a Cinematic Life with a party on Friday, hosted by New York Times best-selling author Holly Goldberg Sloan and her husband, filmmaker Gary Rosen. On Saturday and Sunday, the American Cinematheque hosted double-feature screenings of Alan Rudolph films that Pfeiffer produced, where she signed books prior to the screenings and screenwriter Larry Karaszewski moderated the Q&As.

Donatella Versace and Anne Hathaway hosted the inaugural Versace Icons Dinner on Wednesday in NYC, with attendees including Rachel Brosnahan, Ariana DeBose, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Teyana Taylor, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen, authors Meena Harris and Raquel Willis, activists Aaron Rose Philip, Marley Dias and Nykita Joy, journalist and director Sophia Li, art curator Nicola Vassell and artist Anna Weyant.

George and Amal Clooney hosted the second annual Albies on Thursday in NYC, shining a spotlight on brave individuals who have devoted their lives to justice. The star-studded guest list included Meryl Streep, Matt Damon, Viola Davis, Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson, Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Jeremy Strong, John Oliver, Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach.
Zodiac Ball
The Children’s Oncology Support Fund hosted the inaugural Zodiac Ball on Thursday in Los Angeles, hosted by Brooke Burke alongside vice chairs for the evening Barron N. Hilton and Tessa Hilton. Mississippi Masala WIF screening
On Thursday, WIF (Women In Film, Los Angeles) hosted a screening of Mississippi Masala at Vidiots in Los Angeles. Following the film, writer, director, producer and WIF board member Nisha Ganatra moderated a Q&A with the film’s director, Mira Nair. The film serves as the third installment of WIF’s 50th Anniversary Screening Series, celebrating a film per decade made by women.
Kiss the Ground dinner

City Parks Foundation Dinner and Concert Benefit
City Parks Foundation held its 2023 benefit fundraiser on Thursday in Central Park at the flagship SummerStage venue. This year’s event honored Tom Poleman with the SummerStage Icon Award and Devon Eisenberg with the People & Parks Award. Guests also enjoyed special performances by Train and Tim McGraw, as the event raised over $1.3 million in donations.
